Java Software Targets Charting and Real-Time Graphics Developers

Boston, Mass. – September 1, 2005 - Quinn-Curtis, Inc. released today Java versions of their QCChart2D Charting and QCRTGraph Real-Time Graphics software tools. These software packages, written in object oriented, 100% Java, enable developers to add real-time graphics and charting to web pages and workstations using Java applets and applications. Typical users are software professionals creating applications for financial markets, network monitoring, factory automation, process monitoring, R&D instruments, test systems and SPC quality control. The software supports linear, logarithmic, time/date and polar coordinate systems used by business, engineering and scientific end users. Data plot types include static and dynamic plotting of line plots, bar graphs, scatter plots, dials, gauges, meters, clocks, annunciators and panel meter indicators.  Users are able to interact with charts: adding annotations, selecting, marking and moving data points, displaying data tooltips, and zooming into a particular chart region.

 The QCChart2D Charting Tools for Java (model # JAV-CHT-DEVR, price $150) and the Real-Time Graphics Tools for Java (model # JAV-RTG-DEVR, price $250) software are sold using a single user developer license. The user is entitled to free updates two years. A 30-day trial version of the software is available from the Quinn-Curtis web site.

 The software is written entirely in Java and works with all platforms compatible with the Java 1.4 Runtime or later. The recommended development environment is Eclipse though usage with NetBeans and JBuilder is also described.
